Her activities encompass a wide range of painting-related work, primarily presenting her art in exhibitions both domestically and internationally, alongside book design, illustrations, picture book creation, and workshops. 北林 みなみ 神奈川県出身。武蔵野美術大学 油絵学科卒業後、インドネシア国立芸術大学 ジョグジャカルタ校に てインドネシア政府奨学金 ダルマシスワ奨学生としてプログラム修了。 幼少期はタイ、シンガポールで暮らす。異国で経験した孤独感や疎外感を軸に、自身の内側に広がる 風景を描き続けている。 国内外に渡る展示活動での作品発表を中心に、書籍の装丁や挿絵、絵本制作やワークショップに至る まで、幅広く絵に関わる活動を行っている。
