□ Description
Born in Tokyo in 1973, Yo Soeda traces his roots to skateboarding culture, which he discovered as a junior high school student. Alongside playing in numerous hardcore bands, including OAC, BREAKfAST, and EVIL SCHOOL, he has pursued a wide range of creative practices, from exhibitions and zine-making with the art unit Kuro-Midori-less to writing fiction.
His work features bold depictions of skulls, animals, human silhouettes, cityscapes, and fragments of text. Blending humor, irony, and the raw realities of everyday life, Soeda creates a distinctive world that is free-spirited, untamed, and unapologetically his own.
