色鉛筆を用い、画面の隅々までびっしりと絵で埋め尽くされる若林夏の作品には、日常の小さな感動や希望が取り込まれています。普段見かける何気ない情景をユーモラスに描き出す事で、ふと気付かされる日々の美しさ。街で偶然すれ違う人々、食事を楽しむ光景、街路樹の下の車、偶然知らない女の子と視線が重なった瞬間など、そのひとつひとつが実に生き生きと描かれ、忘れがちな人間のぬくもりや面白さを私たちに再認識させてくれます。

Using coloured pencils, Natsu Wakabayashi’s works, which are filled to the brim with drawings, capture the small emotions and hopes of everyday life. By humorously depicting ordinary scenes, the beauty of everyday life is suddenly brought to our attention. People passing by on the street by chance, scenes of people enjoying a meal, a car under a roadside tree, the moment your eyes meet the eyes of a girl you don’t know – each of these scenes is depicted in a truly vivid way, reminding us of the warmth and fun of humanity that we tend to forget.
