Makiko Furuichi specializes in transparent watercolor paintings that make full use of rich colors and bleeding and blurring. She has worked directly on interiors of hotel rooms, monasteries, and huge mural paintings in historic caves, and recently her works can be found in museum collections in Europe. She has become highly regarded in the French art world.
